"Create an army, defend your base and defeat those scheming alien invaders! LEGO Mars Mission “Crystalien Conflict” is a sophisticated real time strategy game. Each of the 30+ levels open with a movie which continues a narrative and introduces one of the toys." -Description from 4t2.ca Portfolio Website

The Lego Mars Mission CrystAlien Conflict game was made for Lego.com by 4T2 Multimedia (now known as "Amuzo"? Their work can still be found here) and was featured on Marsmission.lego.com. Since then, Lego has closed the Mars Mission site, therefore making it impossible to play the game there, but there is an offline version of the game and it is fully functional. Leveleditor6680 also has a site hosting the game for you, so you can play it online (same link as below).

CrystAlien Conflict was immensely popular, and was considered to be one of, if not the greatest LEGO online game of all time. It is a one-player strategy game where you play as either the Astros (Astronauts) or the Aliens in a quest for domination of Mars and the supply of Energy Crystals. Each faction has 9 levels to play, and a 10th "Conflict" level. Seven "secret" bonus levels may also be unlocked using cheat codes. In the Hive Edition of the game, new levels called "Special Ops" were introduced (3 for the Astros, 1 for the Aliens). Every level opens with an animation that explains the story of that level. In 2011 a fan project called CrystAlien Redux was started with the goal to extend the CrystAlien Conflict game and keep it alive.
Since then there has been some development, and the first unofficial fan-made update to the game was released in 2015. This update fixed several high profile bugs in the game as well as a couple other changes and additions including an increased framerate, and the re-addition of an old level removed in a previous version.
A thread was posted to announce the release, which included a link to play the new bugfix version of the game, and a detailed change log.

rennatnave101 Alien level nine without cheats... 2 Aug 10 2015, 7:38 PM EDT by DracoSupreme

I finally beat it!

Alien Level 9, code "5050" is just about impossible without cheats, but after about 20 tries today, I finally managed to do it. Since the walk-through linked to on the CrystAlien Conflict page doesn't have a strategy other than using the triple shields cheats, I figured I ought to give it a shot.

This is how I did it. Maybe its been done other ways, but this worked for me:
1. To begin, I had one of my saboteurs retrieve the box in the top-left corner of the starting field.
2. Then I loaded all of the drones into the Hyper-Carrier
3. Take the Hyper-Carrier across the acid "river" and land it off-center towards the left in the short landing space.
4. Scroll the screen so that you can unload and then quickly move the carrier back to the start field, and then do so.
5. Group select all of the drones, scroll down a little ways, and click so they walk straight down, more toward the left side. Their target path lines should be straight down.
6. On their way, they should destroy the closest defense station. When they have (and while they are still selected), move their target slightly to the right, next to a small acid pool.

...Hypothetically speaking, CAC were to be re-made?

What features and stuff would you like to see?

I'd like to see:
mod support
open source
cross-platform
boss units and the other stuff i was working on, and any other cool things
more external configurations
skirmish mode
multiplayer, and hopefully something where players can host their own games, specifically
public domain assets and resources

All non-constructive responses will be deleted.
Non-constructive will be determined on case-by-case basis by me, josh, and possibly, lightpseed.
